This quirky, urban style restaurant, complete with rustic slatted bench type seating, faux rusty iron girders and a glitzy disco ball specialises in awarding winning pies, made with ethical British ingredients.

A selection of pies including gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available at £5.95.

The menu includes a Pie meal option which includes a pie and a side for £7.95 or pie and a super side for £8.95.

We both chose the “Free Ranger”, free range British chicken and Wiltshire cured ham pie with leek & thyme. DT’s pie was accompanied with a cheesy mash and crispy shallots, whilst mine was accompanied with skin on fries.

The meals were nicely presented, portions were generous and arrived hot to the table. The pies were delicious with light crisp pastry and a deep generous tasty filling.
Staff were efficient and friendly; the atmosphere was relaxed and we felt there was no rush for us to leave.

There is a small drink menu available serving a draught pale ale, bottled beers, ciders and a small selection of house wines with prices starting from £19.00 a bottle. There are selected 2 for 1 offers on cocktails which are home made and delicious.

This little gem of a restaurant offers tasty classic food at very reasonable prices and is within easy walking distance of New Street Station, the Alex, Rep and Hippodrome theatres.
